new to this site

Post by redvenge99 on Sat Oct 22, 2011 9:31 am

Whats up ppl? I have a red 99 avenger I have been slowly modding, but it is tough because there is no aftermarket support for the 6g73 so its slow going... Its good to find a group in my own backyard:D . I am a member on asec.com but 99% of them are in the midwest, but they have some great info for my platform and the 420a. For those who dont no the avenger is a bastard dsm the 4cyl is damn near the same as the 95-99 eclipse and most parts fit the 6cyl, besides engine components...

Still doing the oakland beach thing????? I would like to see some of your cars...

Oh no, we defiantly know about the Avenger, It was based off the eclipse, you'd be even more surprised at how much you can swap from them, like the nose. But you defiantly found the right group of people... The majority of us have or had DSM's and between all of us, we know every trick in the book...

At any rate, we'll be at Wendy's in the RI Mall Parking lot tonight 9PM (OB is too cold)
So come on down...

And Welcome to the site, you should post some pics of that Venger...

Autozone will rent one to you, it should be a 32mm, if you haven't rented tools from them before you basically pay for it and you'll get the $$ back when you return it, But I think the Axle nut is 12 bucks and worth having... Good Luck with it, Ball Joints are no fun...

welcome to the group. we all know a lot about DSM's. I had a white 420a avenger before so I know all about them. Hope to see you at some of the meets.

welcome!

like everyone said the eclipse and avengers are very similar. I've actually used a 420a avenger auto tranny in an eclipse, also used a how to take the dash out on an avenger to do my heater core on one of my eclipses. so anyways we know alot about these cars. check out 2gnt.com theres a write up on how to hook a safc2 up to a n/a eclipse might b similar but im not sure.
